Congratulations on buying that new sector (Avarice i believe it was). But did you really earn that 1,125,000,000 in an honest way, or was there some piracy involved here ?

This must be related to the comment BurnIt (IIRC) made in another thread. It was to the affect that, 'There was something in the game later on that you could spend your money on to the tune of around 1.5 Billion'

Well I guess this must be it and it suggests that you as the player can actually buy this sector.

Yes, but it seems that in my game at least there could be a bug preventing me from getting it...

I hope it is just my incompetence rather than a bug.

If anyone has any advice, please let me know.

perhaps you cant bid on it untill:

A.) Your rank with the race is higher
B.) You have to wait till the bidding has gone up to a cirtin pont

Is this you have to be in Game where Plot/story, or you do not need to play as plot to get own Sectors, and Who race I need to high? I would love to own and Calm it as my own not other race.

Good question. I've spend quite a bit of time trying to find a BB where you could actually make a bid and buy the thing. Didn't find any. Could be my error though.

Personally, ill believe it when i see it..

Thus far X3 hardly contains enough depth to do some of the more simpler tasks that were meant to be implemented, so i just dont believe that this feature exists..

Also, is the user in question running any mods?

the fact that people never post screenies for their "Amazing discoveries" also makes me a bit sceptical, as their has been a rather large amount of "porkie pies" told lately about certain non existant game features..

its good to know some extra content made it into the game..

in fact.. i SERIOUSLY better start saving as i already have my base of operations in that sector and im 15 or so game days into X3!!
