they could be anywhere, upto 5km from the center in any direction.

they shouldn't be in unsafe locations like in planets as it checks it can create something at the location beforem oving it

I guess you mean 50km from the center? If it's 5km the ships would always be easy to find, I have yet to find any after I put your script to use :)

yeha, i ment 50km.

they are sposed to be hard to give, maing them more of a reward than just a way to get early money ;)

the link in the first page should work.

schabernack, depends how the script works, but it is possible it would move them if they are just added at the beginning as standard abandoned ships.

however, it will only run once, so if its run and then you add that sscript, it wont run again to move them

well :oops: the script might work as i can't find any ships :)
I wanted the script for the reason that i prevent myself from cheating with some tables posted anywhere describing where what to find.

Is there a way to find them without moving through all systems completly again?
I am in my 4th game and i don't want to explore anymore all again without good reason.

I have found the script Salvage Network 2.8, which should do the job but does several other things in addition which i don't need and i don't want my menues to get too crowded.

Is it correct that the default BBS entries do not change with the randomizing with this script?

the standard ships you can capture are not on the BBS anyways.

the ones on the BBS are the tresure hunt missions, which are randomly generated anyways.

theres no easy way to find them without using another script to make it easier
