As said elsewhere when do you sleep :O and thanx for yet another game expanding script.

A couple of thoughts though

Is it possible to have the lux cabins take up more space than the std ones otherwise there seems no point in using the std ones other than availiability and initial cost which tbh isnt sufficiently high to deter ( well at least for me it maybe for others)

secondly and this is prolly not realy feasable but will ask anyway

how about having you ship speed rather than type determine your acceptability for a job, faster ship could cost more and require tighter time limits as this would fit nicely with you overtune script. This is what annoyed me about original taxi runs - I might have had a supertuned M3 or M6 which was easily fast enought to do a particular run but the passanger was insisting on an M5.

well, unfrotuatlly without making it into a mod, theres no way to change the volumn unfortuantly, althou something i can do is increase the amount of cabin space require.

ie the standard passengers could require about 5 spaces per basic passenger and 10 per luxury passenger, or something like that, it will have the same kind of effect.

thats also y i used cabin space rather than a single cabin object.

the 2nd one, the main reason for the certain ship classes is not actaully to do with speed, but to do with what the passengers like to travel in, basically i means it gives certain ships more usuage, the most common being the TP

I have actually had the chance to do a few runs now and I have a couple of comments

1 WOW, i just didnt realise the range of factors with this script its superb and annoying at the same time

and

2 Mission Impossibles, quite literally missions being offerred which no matter what ship you are in just cant be done. The example that sticks in my mind is a 3 sector journey in 8 mizuras ( it actually specified a TP aswel)

hmm, 3 sectors in 8 mizuars, thats definatly a bug, its sposed to be much higher than that, ill have to take alook

just thought of something
have u update to 1.01 ?
as its sounds like the timing for the original version, thats basically what was fixed in the new version so it sounds like its either not updated, or its not using the new timings

Have updated and since update I can report that the mission times are now reasonable mostly, I do however seem to get numerous readtexts and if on of these occurs at the mission complete stage I loose whatever cabinspace was being used, sometimes. I am not sure wtf is going on here and I expect it to be a conflict with another script.

As I was planning on starting a new game soon will start one tonight and ONLY INSTALL THE TAXI SCRIPT. If there are no probs there will start loading up the other scripts I use

will let you know waht happens tommoz

could you also write down the readtext numbers it helps to identify what script they are from and what message it should be

The story so far

Clean Instal updated to 1.403

Installed Taxi Guild Script
Installed LV Cheats 1.2 (spk ver) to give me a cash boost for testing

Started game as Aspiring Explorer, to give a fast start ship to explore and find the guild station

Gave myself a large sum of money, saved exited

Uninstalled both scripts and re-installed Taxi script

Before joining guild found numerous offers for taxi work of the joyride type only, no point to point or multistop

Each of these was titled

WANTED ReadText 7129-XXXXXXXX Taxi Drvier

where XXXXXXXX refers to an eigth digit number that was different in all cases

After a while found a BBS reference to a Taxi Guild Station flew to the sector and docked at the station and joined the guild

No good showed up in the trade menu so I undocked and redocked

2 goods now showed in the trade menu niether was labelled both had a value of 28 and a stock level of 1/10000

Please advise as to any futher testing or instals that you would like done to determine where I am getting this from

ok, the problem with the wares is that your missing EMP.

the other readtext problem is because its showing the missing before you joined the guild, this shouldn't happen, so its trying to display what level you are, but as you havn't joined, its go the level causing the error, this is a simple fix so it will be fixed in the next version :)

let me know of any other problems u've noticed.

Update

All is OK once EMP installed will proceed with other scripts and let you know if anything untoward occurs.

:( an other prob....

U indeed fixed the time of the missions for example:

1st station 3 jumps away Time: 35 mizura's
2st station 3 jumps away Time: 6 mizura's

again it's not realistic to finish that mission. I think u have adjusted the starting station but the following station is again too short time. :(

Yes this was for the station tour mission.

Also i found a bug with the ''take me to that station mission''
The time is good only this came @ the end.
