Hi,
has anybody managed to extract the station announcements in a playable format?
Since they are not among the MP3 files of the soundtrack folder (as far as I could check), they are probably packed in one of the custom data files.
I could just record them form the game audio while docked, but that may take quite some time and does not guarantee I get all the announcements.
So I'm wondering if they already exist somewhere else or if they can be extracted in some way.
Thank you,
/_urka

Re: Extracting station announcements?
All voices are stored in a single voice file so you can extract it from that.
They are just an audio file although has the extension .dat
You should be able to open them in any audio editing software.
mov/00044.dat for TC
mov/00144.dat for AP
mov/00244.dat for FL
The main text file contains the subtitles, and its page/id is linked in the 00044.xml. 00144.xml and 00244.xml files, which splits the main audio file

Re: Extracting station announcements?
Found it, thank you!
Those .dat files are actually MP3 and can be played by just renaming the extension.
If you have TC+AP+FL, the announcements are at the very end of the large file 00144, starting at about 12h:13m.
Some are broken into chunks, that the game assembles adding random numbers and locations.
Best regards,
