Currently waiting for a Teladi Albatross to dock at a Teladi Shipyard in PTNI HQ - been waiting for about 5 minutes on SETA 1000%
Still not docked yet

Just leave the sector. It then won't have to worry about avoiding things to get there.

ptni, at least in my game, has the annoyance of a station being right i the middle of the end of the docking lights for capital class ships for the shipyard

Not in my game. The yard is nicely in the clear. But you should see the yards in Ianamus and Light of Heart. Nothing but scorched debris now. And it was not I, who shot them.
It is usually wise to stay in another sector while a capital ship is supposed to move.
Teladi and Boron captains have the disadvantage of very large sized ships. It is not the fault of the captain, if the steamroller has only one gear.

I Actually found having SETA on high makes it even more unlikely they will dock and slowing it down or not SETA at all helps.

Thanks CBJ if that isnt worthly of being tip of the day I dont what is. I was thinking about this the last time I was placing a station in a sector with lots of asteroids he kept slowing down all the time and once he crashed into an asteroid with my station on board. I will go outside the sector next time.
Though one question occurs: do I still need to be in the sector to place a station like in X2 or can this all be done remotely?

Yes you do. But the TL does not need to get close. Neither of you need to.
So as long as you and the TL are both in the sector, you can build. X2 had the limitation that the TL had to be within 10 km along each axis where you wanted the station. X3 does not have that limitation.

Cool, thanks. That should make life easier.

Yep, whenever I have any ship(s) docking somewhere, I do it while I'm in another sector. Especially when ordering the flock back to the carrier. 30 ships will dock in about 3 seconds if you're OOS, IS, well...you should prolly grab a beer and some popcorn.

I added a race onto the end of the poll. I've seen many a player wondering why flying their huge capital ship at full speed down the middle of a trade lane causes accidents.

And that option is getting vates at about the same rate as I get accidents when flying my TL

I would also select the last option, but I don't own a TL yet.

I dunno CBJ, I think most TL pilots actually
plan to fly in the middile of spacing lanes, squashing freighters as they go.
My vote still goes to player though.
