That aside, after several sessions of beating my head against the wall, and considerable help from cycrow, LV and redspot, I've got a working version of a script.
Read me:
This is a semi-simple script that creates asteroids. Ideally, it was made to suit the addition of XL/XXL fabs. That addition simplified the creation of complexes. Fewer stations, producing the same amount of products. This script was made to enhance that by giving the ability of creating an extremely high yield asteroid, where ever you want to use it. It's not free, it's not even cheap. Upon selecting the location of the asteroid in the sector you chose, you'll recieve an IM asking whether you want to proceed (an estimate is given for the cost). If you do not have enough credits to cover the cost, you'll receive an IM telling you as such.
To use:
Access the commands, and look in the "Special" group. The command is conveniently named "Create Asteroid".
Select the sector and location (similar to how placing a station works).
Press enter, receive IM with estimate.
Chose yes to place it.
Start mining.
Uses t file 8444.
Many thanks to LV, Redspot, and especially cycrow. They held my hand considerably. Cycrow now knows (beyond any doubt), how much I suck at scripts.
Comments welcomed, and encouraged.
