What about
Select special gun (ion disruptor,mass driver etc)

will it increase the accuracy of the guns?

well I was thinking 'area affect gun' ..

but MDs and Ions are a pain to use as seperate setting ..

again I'm thinking about making a diff. between heavy and light fighter guns .. so you could always assign them to those ..

I'll update the list ..

I finished this .. tested it ..

and results seem to better than with the default turret commands ..
it will try to prevent using too big a guns ..
it is basicly (very simply said) the G-crew but than you decide with what weapons ..


anyway .. I'll upload it and update the first post with a readme later today ..

Edit;
Ion-Ds/MDs/Flak/etc etc .. all included ..;)

This is great, One question though, i have an argon colossus. It uses beta & gamma ppc`s, i have my heaviest guns set as gamma ppc on back, up, or down, will this change my other turrets, on the left right, to beta ppc?

what do you think ?? ..;)

each turret has to be set individually .. so you can set your front turret to use GPPCs and your rear to use BPACs ......

you could give the front MDs as Heavy gun and the top MDs as Anti L.Fighter ..

each turrets setting is independent off possible other turrets ..
the only thing done for all turrets is making you pay .. :)

:( i cannot get this working, i have tried to set my colossus` turrets, it keeps saying some cannot be equiped. i was installing into my forward turrets, 1 - beta ppc, 2 - beta pbe, 3 - beta pac, 4 - beta ire, 5 - ion disruptors, and cannot get past that message.
Im sure the colossus takes these weapons & i have more than enough to fully arm the turret, am i doing something dumb? :oops:

I'd say .. its you .. :)


the message tells you wich gun couldnt be installed ..
also make sure youve set the correct turret ..

I'll be fiddling with this script now anyway .. so I'll have a look ..

but I seriously doubt its the script .. (I tested it on a Coll. (among others))

its really you .. been feeding a Collossus missiles .. and it ate them all ..;)


Edit;
forgat something .. drones .. new version is up .. anti-drones gun is the anti-missile gun ..(also changed a little thing .. to turn off Ion-Ds when the targets shields go down .. :oops: )

I get the following message when I try to install the script on a turret.
Sir your ship Your Argon Titan in Nopielos' Memorial is not able to equip a, Heavy, Anti Heavy Fighter or Anit Light Fighter weapon in one of its turrets.
ATWS will terminate on this turret
I have run ATWS Set Turret ID on the turret, and then ATWS Set Guns, and I that's when I recieve this message. I know that the turret supports the weapons I'm trying to mount (and I tested and get a different message if I try to mount a gun it can't handle) and there are more than enough guns to go into the turret, so I am unsure what this message means.

well it means your ships turret has no guns to install to..

but thats weird..cause you mentioned having enough guns available

you sure about that ??..

anyway try this;
install the heavy guns before giving the command see if it makes any diff.

I'll have an other look at the script later ..see if I can get the same to happen (it works ok for me)

it was me ..
I forgat to put a script in the folder ..
so it works good for me .. but not for anyone else (just shows how many have used it ..:D)

anyway .. new .zip is up with all scripts ..

Hmmm, I'm still getting the same problem. I've just re-downloaded the script and installed it again, and re-initialised the script cache (just in case, dunno if I needed to or not!).

I have 15 BPPC, 15 GPPC, 15 BPAC, 15 BPBE, 15 MD, 15 IOND and 1000 Units of MD ammo in the hold, and no matter what combination of weapons and turrets I try I can't get it to work.

I get two different error messages, one telling me I have tried to install a weapon which the turret can't mount, which I understand. The other is the one I posted above, which seems to happen when I have the correct combination of weapons for the turret.

Arrrrrgh! Help!

well I checked that part of the script that triggers that message and the only way to should ever get that message is when you do not have at least 1 free gun ..

and the logic is solid .. so thats not the problem ..

you afaik it can be 1 of 3 things here;
-I overlooked something (I'll look into it try and recreate it)
-you are doing something wrong (doesnt seem to be that way)
-you actually still dont have the 'RS.ATWS.SwitchUp' script in your scripts folder (check if its in your scripts folder please ..cause to me it must be that.. like I said .. I can run it without a problem)

Yeah, I don't have the RS.ATWS.SwitchUp script in my scripts folder, and I checked the zip archive as well, and it's not in there.

I just re-downloaded the script again and the archive is still missing the RS.ATWS.Switchup script, so I guess that's the problem.

Thanks Red Spot, it worked this time, but I had to right click and Save As, if I just click on it and then choose to save from the FireFox dialog it seems to get the older version of the zip from somewhere! Must be using a cached version of it.

Thanks for all your help and prompt replys, I'm off to bed now but I'll let you know if it works when I test it tomorrow.

i just downloaded the script, not tried it yet (had a format yesterday), but like Garrison i found no 'RS.ATWS.SwitchUp.xml' in the achive.. :?

i've got no cached files due to the format, perhaps re-upload the achive to be sure.
