[SCRIPT] (RTD) Remote Transporter Device command by Xai Corporation

Post by moggy2 » Tue, 27. Dec 05, 00:52

Title: Xai Corp. Remote Transporter Device command (RTD)
Version: 2.3
Download: www.xai-corp.net/project/XaiCorp-RTD
Description:
Use the Transporter Device on a remote ship to transfer cargo between two ships within a 5km range.
----

Ships with a Transporter Device installed will find they have an extra command in the Auxiliary Command Menu which allows the transporter device to be used to transport any goods from one ship to another within a 5km range.

The transfer can take place between this ship and another, or it can take place between two completely different ships, as long as both ships are within 5km of the transporter device.

This is a straight conversion of the X2 version to X3 standards
----

command: Ship 25
textfile: 7220
textpage: 7220, 7231

completely remote. Any ship, anywhere.

It's almost identical to the one that got signed for X2, just a slightly different interface.

Moggy2

Is it possible to make this script transport items from space? (what the destroyed ships drop)

I spend a lot of time in the khaak sectors and it's a shame to have to keep leaving all the weapons and missiles behind. :(

Cheers for this, Moggy. Plugging gaping holes in the X verse is what Xai does really well.

Speaking of which, when are you going to do FSUP for X3? Or will it work as is?

That's another gripe with the game sorted.

:D Thanks.

modem crashed while I was out, site should be back up shortly.

re FSUP, that's been updated for X3 and is available. I noticed one of the commands clashed with someone's X3 script so I'm going to move them before I anounce it. If that doesn't bother you then you can get it now (well, when the site comes back up.)

Good work, Moggy. If it wasn't for FSUP I wouldn't bother setting up fleets. Getting them gear would just be too much of a pain.

I downloaded FSUP and I see the problem you mentioned, ie. Papatong's Personal Power Generator uses command slot 527.

What about changing 527 to 523 so you keep the FSUP set? 523 to 526?

Edit: Better jump in quick before someone takes 523 :D

Hmmmm, I DL'ed the script, reinit'd the script cache, but I don't see any commands anywhere for RTD. This ship I am trying to initiate from has a transporter device. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

have you activated the script editor?

did you extract the file in the X3 directory so that the scripts were put into the scripts directory and the text was placed in the t directory?

Fixed. I just had to keep hitting the reload button. Works like a charm; thanks Moggy!

This script is GREAT. With the amount of transporter devices I am buying my rep with the Goners is increasing. I was wondering if it could default to "amount to be transfered" as "all" so I wouldn't have to input from the keyboard. Still be able to input an amount if it is needed though.

Keep up the good work. I am thinking of buying stock in the XiaCorp if it is listed on the stock exchange. I see a winner there. :D

Looks like I unestimated you guys. when there was nothing from XAI for ages I thought you had just called it quits. Looks like I was wrong and you were just making hell of a lot of big scripts. This is the one I've been waiting for despairately

XAI + Cyrow (the lone wolf scripter) = GODS!!!!

nope nothing to do with me.

look up 8920 in the index of unsigned scripts. The second post there is a list of which scripts use which resources. Find out who uses textpage 8920 and you've found your culprit.

Glad you posted that as I recall one of those messages the other day after installing some new scripts.

Hopefully the stuff below helps. I just browsed the 'T' folder to find it. Just unzip the file to a new folder then compare your installed files for removal/backup.

Is there any way of getting it to include jumpdrives as a selectable ware for transport?

The only way to do this is to present you with a complete list of possible wares rather than just the wares on the ship. I think that would just complicate this command.

However, if you want this functionality, Xai Corp. Fleet Support's resupply command can do jumpdrives and other upgrade wares.
