Script: Local Trader
Author: Xai Corporation
Download: http://www.xai-corp.net/project/LocalTrader-X3
Adds a ranged Sector Trader to the Mk3 Trade Commands
The Local Trader plugin provides a new command for the Mk3 Trade Command Software, to compliment the Sector Trader and Universe Trader Commands.

The Local Trader command allows a ship to trade in the sectors surounding a sector. To use it you simply tell it which sector to start in and the maximum number of jumps in can travel from this sector while trading.

The Local Trader will use the jumpdrive if installed, and uses the same advanced features as the Universe Trader in regards to jumpdrive fuel and defence stratagies.

Downloaded and installed immediately, good job. :D

[EDIT]
Command 419 is also in Cycrow's guild script files.
There's a little conflict there.

Command is under 419 not 429.
Anyone else notice this or am I just crazy? :P
I changed it to 429 for my copy.

it was originally on 419 when I wrote it at the begining of the year. I changed it after uploading it when I realised that slot was no longer free.

did I miss somewhere I should have changed?

The t files have it under 419 and it seems the setup script also has it as 419.
It shows up as COMMAND_TYPE_TRADE_19.

Ok, small problem so far...My locals are doing alot of standby...more than if they were doing a secter in their local area....I'll keep watching..but I think this is so. I have them set at 2 and 3 jumps respectively.

This is a great product btw..if I can get it to work properly...good to keep my traders out of enemy territory.

I just downloaded this and installed with the script installer program. I see the command fine in the Trade menu, but when I issue the command I get feedback that the pilot does not have enough experience (needs to be level 8 ). Isn't level 8 the level you can make them Universe traders?

Is this the way its supposed to operate?

Yes, you have to level them up as a sector trader first, just the same as a Universe trader, to set them running as Local Traders.
