The files have already been re-hosted elsewhere, I mentioned it on page 3 of this thread:

Are you sure you don't also get a download link?Da_Junka wrote:@Zurechial can you let me know when you have uploaded the new fully working mod so I can download it.
Or blackRain please mail it to me. I really need this file because the LAG is ruining my game.
Thanks
Look again...
I get an upload link, and under it is a download link:
Click here to download file "LessEnemiesLessRoids.zip"
(The link above does not work, it's just how the link looks like...)
Not yet BlackRain, maybe hotmail is backlogged, will try again in the morning.BlackRain wrote:I emailed you the file Da Junka, just let me know if you get it.
No, when I get to the upload page there is no option to D/L.

The LessRoids only version didnt get rid of ALL the little ones for me. When starting a new V1.3 game I still have them scattered around, however only around 5-10% as many compared to a new game without the mod.BlackRain wrote:It gets rid of all of those little asteroids, you will only have the bigger asteroids in the game.
Well, seeing as how I don't want to start a new game yet (I just barely got a dragon *pout*) would it work to wipe out the asteroids in a sector, and then they simply won't respawn? I think you said something about a limited number of roids, so hopefully that will work. If I get a chance to do some mining I'll let you know how it works out.

Well...I spent a bit of time attempting mobile mining, hoping that once I had thinned out some asteroid fields they wouldn't respawn...didn't get that far as I found it far too time consuming and costly (in terms of hull damage I was taking) to be a viable option. So, new questions:
- Can you blow up asteroids completely? or do they stop responding to weapons fire once they reach their smallest point?
-Is there a way to remove a bunch as an event (or something) so that it reduces the current number of roids per sector to the adjusted maximum that Blackrain set up?
Alas...I'll just have to wait since I have zero ability to script things in...I love the effect of the asteroid belts, but they slow my poor computer down quite a bit (where before I had virtually no slow downs). I know this could be solved by starting over...but I worked my tail off to get to where I am now...

okay, since I don't want to start over/don't know how to script myself cash and/or notoriety anyway...I've started clearing Three Worlds of asteroids. It's going to take a while, but it is possible to pummel the rocks into mush, thus, with time, I'll have about 90% of the roids there wiped out...enough so it will be obvious if they respawn, and then I'll report back with any results. Hopefully it will work because then I can focus on either straight mining or straight desctruction (plowing the roid field, if you will) and then have the old frame rates back. since, I'm guessing, they won't respawn back to unmodded 1.3 levels...or this could be a great big waste of time...which I'll also report...
