Yes, making repair drones fly around themselves would work, but it's too much work for something that others might like less than the way it is now.
Basically, the way it's done now it the best way in regards to salvaging. In regards to repairing normal ships and such, that's a good idea but for a different mod. I can make the repair drones work with ecells, but not the fighter drones.

Yes you can activate and reactivate the script to change the locations of scrapyards. It would also spawn new derelicts, so if you were unhappy or couldn't find any you do that and hope for a rare one.

Same here....I had 'credits' for sale too !?!?!?.....

Does 'credits' relate to this script then ???.. or to another is what i need to know...

Can not say i have seen the salvage license for sale either....

Yes, if you have credits for sale then it's from this mod. You either haven't upgraded and are running an old version with the EMP, or the EMP isn't installed correctly.

Turn it off, wait, save, install, load.

Edit: as is printed on the main page, you need EMP 1.3.01 BETA. This does not mean you need to run the beta patches.

I do have EMP 1.3.01 BETA installed ..... renamed it to 07, as I have a mod thats using 06 .....

How do I know EMP its running correctly.... ???

Will try your suggestions later tonight thanks.

EMP is installed correctly if, when you open up the script editor and a script and try to select a ware, you get lots of ReadTexts in the ware list.

I had the same problem with credits been displayed. So I did what u said and reinstalled the EMP. Its working fine now must have installed the older version of the EMP. I did not turn off the scripts in the AI menu when I reinstalled as I lost 2 out of my 3 ships if I did so but seams to be working fine.

I have noticed one problem with the CCM Framework and its if u activate the monitor comm command remotely to another ship u get flooded with messages and u can not stop them and cant do anything ells. It like u gets stuck in a loop. I got out of the loop because the ship got destroyed by pirates about 20 seconds after I activated the command. The ship I activated it on was been followed by pirates at the time. :(

AalaarDB,

I am having the same problem with "credits for sale" but no license is shown. I am able to buy drones fine. Tried uninstalling EMP and Salvage Mod (Cycrow installer version) to no avail.

When you say "turn it off", do you mean from inside the game or uninstalling it outside the game and then reinstalling it?

Well installed EMP version 1.3.01

I turned off...on....re-initialised done the dance... said the secret magic words... and still get CREDITS for sale...!!!

Can any one help ?

Install EMP 1.3, turn on the plugin, turn it off. Save and exit.
Install EMP 1.3.01, turn it on.

I apologize for keeping 2 version of the EMP for several weeks now. I've been told that the 1.4 patch was coming soon and coming soon and coming soon.

Thanks for the info about the EMP beta addon. Is it possible to put those clear instructions in the original post? It might help the noobies get on with it.

Have some questions though, exactly what does the autosalvage do?

Do they find the ships and comm you as to what to do, or do they just salvage them - converting them to your ship - without your knowledge or interaction?

Thanks again for another great script.

Both, depends on if they have enough repair drones available. They will contact you either way. They cannot salvage station debris (it's impossible due to the game engine I think).

Came across a slight error. I was offered the choice to buy the location of a wreck 'to spite' the guys boss. The only option I had was to say no, but immediately after that guy's offer, (next sentance) was 'AalaarDB's Salvage Mod', or something like that.

I think that got in instead of 'yes I would like to buy the info from you' option.

You want select 'custom' from your comm menu. then you can listen to the 'chatter'. After a few seconds you'll get a message. Life sails from there.

There was no way to mod the comm portion of the game. Unfortunately what there is now is a hack job (one that I put a lot of effort into).
Sometimes you don't know who is hailing you. It could be a pirate or a civilian on a station, etc.
Other times, if you look on your gravidar you'll see someone whose name looks weird and it might be them.
