wow this thing is awesome, egosoft really messed up with the decidion to remove cockpits.
they are fantastic, i forgot they even move and the hull and sheild damage bars work and everything, its utterly gtreat!!!
makes me feel like im really flying, if only every ship had a duf one with mayve just diff versions of ships having slight diffs. (ie raider n vanguard)
the cockpit even flashed with laser fire...mate ur the godfam muva f@cin best!!!
ps in ur screen shot the radar is all over the dash which put me off......but if you play in 1600x1200 res it looks like it is how it really should be, you will have to try it i cant explain
thanks....now c`mon artists out there finish this game off

I'm having some problems with the space-suit view, there's transparent triangles sputtering and shifting all over the faceplate. I still consider it an improvement over the nothing I used to see flying cockpitless, but am wondering if anyone else is seeing the effect.
It looks like maybe there's a shader filter that worked in X2 but isn't meshing well w/ X3?

Many thanks for putting this mod together, much appreciated on behalf of all those wanting the cockpits back....
Now I just got one decision to make...
This cockpit mod with all ships done but no capital ship rebalance
or
The rebalance mod with only carriers cockpits...
Ummmm I dunno what to use

Sorry, but to make your decision THAT much harder, I just made a version of the Cockpit Callback mod that adds in the Minimal HUD mod. Check the first post for the URL

Thank you so much!
Egosoft/Enlight should really have put these in the official game as some form of patch so you can have more than 1 mod.
Cockpits really help this game!!! It's too bad the textures from X2 are a bit muddy compared to the X3's textures. Higher resolution would be nice but that's probably not possible.
It would be cool if the texture properties could render the reflective light properly though, like you see on the sides of hulls. There's still great light mapping, but it's just illuminating lower resolution textures and not actually overwhelming them with brightness.

That's ok, I think I just going to use the cockpits mod for now while I using my M3, then when I have enuff Credits to buy my TL I will switch to the Capital ships one

Great job!
Now I will give X3 a second chance... (sounds a little bit paradox, but who cares )

Der Vorteil von X Rebirth? Na ja, du darfst jetzt Big Mama für all deine Handelsschiffe spielen. Und aktuell bekommst du auch nicht mitgeteilt, wenn mal einer deiner Frachter Suizid begangen hat oder von Piraten geschnupft wurde.

Heh, thanks, too bad I'm under drinking age, but I gladly except donations of 6-packs of Mountian Dew.piper wrote:Galaxy613 where do you live in VA? I'm from NC and want to buy you a beer!
The cockpit mod made it for me! And adding the minimal HUD is great!
Thanks to all.
