Sounds like it was an easy fix too, that's good to hear.
This is the best type of mod:
Simple, can be turned on / off without restarting your game, changes the way the game plays quite a bit. (imho)
I'm certain I'm going to spend the next few days turning them on then off, on then off, over and over again trying to figure out which way I like better.

For those in know, if this was a relativly simple change to implement and so many people have been asking for it on other threads... then why havn't someone from Egosoft just posted a little something about this a long time ago?

k, changed my mind, there will be a version of my Capital Rebalance mod that will have put back the M1, M2, and TL cockpits but none other. K, updated this mod so now the space suit has it's proper cockpit. The capital ship rebalance/cockpit mod will soon be up on the capital ship rebalance post.

Good question. Though I am damn sure the anwser will be a resounding yes further on X3's life, but for noe it's a big MAYBE. Right now Doubleshadow is working on a way to fully open up the .pbb files which are packed .bob files which are compiled .bod files! Once we get it down to .bod file we'll be able to look into making fully X3 compadable. BUT I THINK, this is just theory, that you CAN in fact use X2 parts in X3... Im also looking forward to the mod that only adds the cockpit to the cap ships, I have to admit that the no cockpit thing in fightercraft doesnt bother me as much. But capships only - does seem really nice and adds alot to the game for me.
