I was hoping to see the ele a an example here lol. And I cannot use that program, I built my hq with a 2.02 game.
Can anyone list what the elephant rquires? mainly the time to build. I am hoping it isnt too bad because wit the amount I will end up using. I would rather build them than buuy them all. I suspect it wil be too long however, since for some reason it takes just as long to build a dragon as it does a Large caiman super frieghter.

Ore 653
Teladianium & Silicon 490
Rastar Oil 326
Microchips 163
Rimes, QTubes, Comp-components 163
crystals 163
Total cost at average prices 8,728,969
Total cost if you make it all youselfat average prices 4,625,611
You can sell it for 9,719,873 (if you're top rank with the race of the shipyard)

I am happy with the how easy it is to make an ele. I tend to use a lot so I was hopeing to save some credits by making them instead.
ps a stand alone would be great.

I've read some players who forgot to strip-out & so lost that value.
There's certain built-in equipment you can't remove from various ships,
but this equipment turns up in the RE'd & produced ship so you don't lose out.
Biggest value for this is about 79 K credits for
mineral scanner + special command software + trading software 1 + ore collecter,
this combo is found in the 'Miner' variants of the TS class ships & is about 10% of the
ship's value.
The built-in ,
Triplex Scanner + Fight software 1 & 2,
in some Raider M5's is about 15% of their value
(& with the quick prod. time, pretty much makes them the only ships worth producing for profit)
The same combination in all M2's is only worth about 0.02% of the ship value.

Short, sweet & to the point
Very nice ActiveX encapsulation of the spreadsheet - but this will often
get AV blocked / might put some people off to some extent.
Sample complex:

& the fact that UT / NPC ignore the Dockware Manager ware limits
with tempting price settings.

Sorry to spam the thread. But how come non teladi-ships require masses of teladianium also ? A universe dependant on a Teladi resource to build ships sounds scary..
Is there a way to estimate the manufacturing resource cost of third party ships I've rev. engineered ? Will it follow the lines of ship class/price so I can get an estimate by comparing similar price/class ships in the HQProduction XLS sheet ?

& fill in the columns with the relevant data.
ie (* means not necessarily required for the calculations)
*col A = race
*col B = name
*col C = variant
*col D = class
col E = 25000 for M1, M2, M6, TL : 16666 for M3+, M3 : 12500 for M4 : 10000 for M5 : 5000 for TS
*col F = ship ID
col G = NPC RelVal (use doubleshadow's X3Editor-TextResourceEditor util to find this out

ie load TShips.txt from your mod cat file \types directory)
then copy the rest of the columns (up to AP) from another row, and you should get all your values.
As you can see you really only need to fill in columns E and G to get all the other figures.
(or you could do what Carlo the Curious said, assuming you've already rev.eng'd that ship at the HQ).
